Hello everyone!

I have been struggling with how to model this curtain system--Here is the link:

http://buildingskins.blogspot.com/2007/11/shingle-glass-curtain-wall.html

I am unable to create a custom curtain panel that is parametrically sloping in the horizontal as well as the vertical plane and still be able to maintain the width/height parametrics.

Any ideas?

Thanks for all the help in advance

Shruti

You would do this with a blend shape in the family editor. one shape for the bottom, one for the top, with some sort of angle parameter controling the rotation.

You cannot do this without nesting Families.
Make the Window as generic family and nest it into the Panel Family (you may have to nest twice or more).plan carefully your orgin, constrains and link parameters.
This is no easy but can be done. This is an interesting Curtain wall would love to have time to do it myself.

Ok so this is what I have so far--you see the aluminium frame around the glass is not done very well-I was struggling on how to model it and ended up selecting the work plane on each side and modeling extrusions.

I will post more models as I develop this further.

Thanks,
