Which settings control the how things are displayed.

I have an elevation where I want to see some objects behind an other object. It doesn't show it at the moment.

If I draw a section a the same spot I get to see the object in dashed linestyle as I would like.

So I thought let's create a viewtemplate from the section and apply this in the elevation. This didn't work. Where else can I look or is this hardcoded?

thanks

This is hardcoded to only show the elements that are right at the grid line that the Framing elevation is hosted by.

The workaround would be to create a section just off the grid line, but that may have its own issues.

You can control the view depth of an framing elevation through the element properties. Also you can if you set the "reference datum" to none you will see the cut plane and can move it around like a regular elevation. The problem with elevations, framing and building is that they do not show hidden elements only sections do.
