I have tried everything I can find but my pipe networks will not connect to my corridor surface. Am I missing something? Just changing over from Land Desktop and running C3D2010. Surfaces, alignments, corridors are going fine, but the pipes won't connect.

Have you assigned the surface to the pipes/structures? Pipe/structure properties.

Yes, reference surface is the corridor surface.

Alright, let's delve a little into what you are expecting to see. What do you mean by "connect" to the surface? What is happening and what do you think is supposed to happen?

I expected that upon attaching the pipe network to the surface, the profile view would place the rims along that surface or along my design profile elevations. All I am getting are rims set at zero.

Just to verify, select one of your structures, right click, structure properties. On the Part Properies tab, make sure a surface is selected and that it isn't set to <none>.http://i30.tinypic.com/2wnpgrr.png

It is set to my corridor surface.
Are my expectations correct?

Yep, they are correct. Can you send me the file? PM sent with e-mail address.

One other thing to check, what are the settings set to under the Structure's InsertionRim Behaviour? The 3rd item must be True.

A couple things. First, you didn't have any data in your corridor surfaces. After creating the corridor surface, you have to specify what parts of the corridor you want in the surface. Second, your structures where referencing a different surface, not the corridor surface. Now, when I grip edit your profile, the corridor rebuilds (I turned on rebuild automatic) and the structure rims update. I'll e-mail you my version so you can see it work.
Disclaimer - I know I work for a reseller and my job is to train people but that's not why I bring this up.
With that being said, have you thought about getting some training? Here's what you should do to determine if training is appropriate for you. First, figure out how long you spent on this issue we worked through today. Second, determine your billable rate. Third, determine if paying someone to help you out would have been better then spending the time figuring it out on your own. In this economy, if you aren't doing any work, it's better to learn it on your own because, hey, you aren't doing anything anyways but if you do have work...
Good luck and welcome to the new frontier!

Yes it is set to true.

In other words, the issue wasn't with your pipe network, it was with the surface it was referencing.

Thanks Brian, I'll work through a little more then consider your "get help" suggestion.
