Hi

I've seemed to have created levels at the same height. Is there a way i can consolidate these levels in to 1 level?

thanks

I think you will have to delete one of the duplicate Levels.
Be sure that no critical elements are constrained to the duplicate level before deleting the Level, or those elements will also get deleted.

Try renaming the duplicate Level so you can clearly distinguish it.

Be aware that the views that were automatically created with the duplicate level will also be deleted when the Level is deleted.

There is no way to "merge" the two Levels that I am aware of.

No, but…

Geometry is associated with levels. Isolate all geometry associated with the unwanted duplicate level, and cut/paste it to the desired one. Levels cannot be deleted from the browser. They must be selected in a section or elevation view.

Views are also associated with levels. When you delete a level the associated views, and all annotations they contain, are also deleted. To find which views are associated with the unwanted level, create a view list. Create new identical views, then cut/paste the annotaions to the new views.

Not wanting to Hijack this thread!!.
I was asked to look at a revit Model created by someone else, they had loads of levels and wanted to remove them. But had lots of objects associated to each Level.

What is the simplist way of finding what objects are associated to each level i would like to remove, so i could cut and paste them to my remaining few levels?

Thanks

A Multi-Category Schedule (View>New>Schedule>It's the top choice in the "Category" column)would work great for that, I think.

Only add the Family,Type and Level fields. That way EVERYTHING with a Family and Type as well as an associated level will show in that schedule. (Remember that only objects that contain ALL of the fields in a Multi-category schedule will show up in that schedule.)

Then you can open a "Coordination" 3D view, tile the 3d view and the schedule, and then you can select something in the schedule and isolate it in the 3d view (if you wnat to investigate the component more) or you can just reassociate it right in the schedule. You can even filter your schedule by selected levels to make your work easier.

I shall give that a go.
i wasent sure if there were any objects that wouldnt appear on the multi cat schedule, that would be hosted to a level, perhaps there wont be.

I also made a small utility for this here:

My understanding of how Multicategory schedules work is that if a component has all of the parameters that you are scheduleing, then it will show in that schedule. If a component has some, but not all, then it won't appear. Which is why I think only having Family: Type and Level as the fields would be the way to go here.

I don't believe that System families appear in a multi-Category schedule, besides a material take-off schedule. So, there are families that you may need to create their own schedules for to check on if they are hosted to that level.
