View Full Version : modifyable section boxes?

I assume that I can create section boxes only in perspective views.
Is there a way to create a similar view which is editable?

I am currently working on a four unit townhouse project with a rather complicated roof and fire wall system and it would be very helpful to be able to work through it from one end to the other by taking a slice off the salami (so to speak) one at a time and analyze the building one step at a time. Using the "hide isolate" feature isn't really very useful in this. Obviously, this can be done with sections, but using a 3D model makes a lot of the issues much more obvious much quicker.

Hi WolffG,

The section box is available in all 3d views and is activated by the tick box in the view properties. Once activated you can use the push / pull grips to slide the section box to whichever part of the building you wish to view.
Duplicated view - modify section box locations for new views.

Is this what you were after?

Cheers,

Ian

Sorry, I probably wasn't too clear.
What I'm after is being able to edit the actual objects as you would in a sction or 3D isometric view.

activate the section box for a 3D isometric view via view properties. You will be able to use the section box as well as edit actual objects.
