The table export to excel and word is stupid, so here is an idea to the ASD team:

When you export a table we don't need you to build the whole thing, we just need the content, or some of the content. We're fully capable of creating the template in excel and word ourselves. How could this work? You just export the content to "field codes". When the document is created from the word or excel template it fills out automatically.

The Excel or Word template could look something like this, the “field codes” with @ in front:

|Pos |Lenght |No. | Form | Total |
------------------------------------------------------------------------
| @Spos | @Slenght | @Sno | @Sform | Formula |
| @Npos | @Nlenght | @Nno | @Nform | Formula |
| @Npos | @Nlenght | @Nno | @Nform | Formula |
| @Npos | @Nlenght | @Nno | @Nform | Formula |
| @Epos | @Elenght | @Eno | @Eform | Formula |

S= Start (page)
N= Next
E= End (page)

You get the idea, easy!?

And while I'm at it, why just 5 paperspace views allowed?

Mr. Øystein M, please give me more explanations about what you posted. What is FIELD CODES? How do we make excel/word template with some field codes? And how do we export table from ASD to specified excel file (template)?
Thank you.

Hello! I'm not sure if "field code" is the correct term to use. Maybe "field reference" is better. In this matter it's just the stringa/codes/refs asd looks for in the template to input data. This is also used by content management systems for putting names and adresses into a letter template for example. I'm vacating at the moment, so further explanation of how this is done could be found in the office documentation support websites.
