I am attempting to activate a stand alone Revit 2010 on a Dell XPS Laptop (VISTA 32 Home Premium Ed). The install seems to go fine but when I launch the program the License Management Utility Crashes. Where I would typically recieve a dialog box with two options 1) Activate or 2) Run the product, instead I recieve a message that states...
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
And because it won't activate, the program simply stalls. I have tried the following:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling several times (even copying the disc contents to the hard drive and running the executable as administrator).
2. Using task manager to end any unnecessary processes before installing and launching the program.
3. Tried installing with Valid Serial and also 000's for trial mode.
Any ideas?
