applying material

How to apply material for a solid object, a dwg
format, from imported file? I noticed that the material I have applied in
AutoCAD dissapeared. I have a problem to render the revit file in VIZ, too. The object is
recognized as polyface and it's difficult to apply material to it since the
applied material dissapeared too.
Any idea?

In Revit, you can assign materials to the DWG imported layers in the Object Styles dialog.

A more interactive way to assign materials is with Accurender 4 for AutoCAD where you can drag the materials right on to the AutoCAD objects.

When the DWG is imported, the Accurender materials stay with it. The render libraries have to be the same.
