I am trying to size a circ pump. It would be nice if there was an easier way to calculate the lenth of multiple pipes.I have two ideas.

1) Be able to select two or more pipes at the same time and get a total length in the properties.

2) Display the length of a pipe when it is selected.

Both would be ideal but I lean more towards (1) because then I wouldn't have to add the lenth myself because revit would do it for me.

Thanks!

Sorry, I have no answer, but I do have basically the same question, which I would like answered for a different reason:

Is is possible for Revit to generate a "bill of quantities" or a schedule of ducts, pipes, grilles, diffusers, bends fittings, valves etc?

The schedule would be for the purpose of accurately pricing the project. It should give a break down of exact quantity of bare sheet metal, externally insulated sheet metal, internally insulated sheet metal, fire rated ductwork, insulated and uninsulated pipework etc etc etc etc.

Is this something that Revit can do?

what about a #3?

A 'poly' tape measure. Instead of displaying the distance of one straight line, you can click a path, terminate by double-clicking, right clicking and selecting 'finish', etc.

However, any of those options would suit me just fine!
