Where can I tell Revit which ACAD template file to use when exporting to ACAD?

I want to get our plot tabs set up so we don't have to do it each and every time we export.

Thanks

AFAIK you cannot specify a Autocad DWT to use when "creating" the AutoCAD DWG file. You can specify the Layers and lineweights/colors through the R > Export > Settings dialogue, and thats about it.

I don't believe Revit will look at an AutoCAD template, period. Revit is generating the ACAD file using different methodology.

Well this is disappointing.

This means I have to get into every sheet and set up the files.

Did they not think this thru?

Thanks

IMHO, there would be way too many variables for them to set it up running from Revit through an AutoCAD DWT. Which Layout tab to use as paperspace? Which layers and lineweights, if the export dialogue in Revit and the Layer standards in theh AutoCAD DWT are different? We get the pcp's fr plotting, but you may have different plotter configurations set up in the DWT file... and you may have different plotters and settings initialzed in the template. So not only would it have to know which Layout tab to use, but which plot setting as well (unless you have them all set in the DWT... And if you dont what does it do?)

Its a lot of variables.

But, im sure you could make/acquire a simple batch utility that could open all of the DWG's and go through the layout tabs configuring the plot settings...
