Can anyone direct me to a good overview or tutorial to better understand how shared coordinates work? I've seen discussion in the forum about a tutorial in the Help files, but I have been unable to find this in 2010. Perhaps thai is only in the 2009 Help files. At any rate, I am attempting to get a better understanding of this feature in order to better manage and direct our consultants' modeling efforts for NavisWorks coordination. Thanks.

Allow me to elucidate one aspect of my confusion:
I have been using the Project Base Point object to verify the sharing of coordinates. When I use the Acquire Coordinates function to bring in the coordinate system of a linked file, the values are usually very close, but not exactly matching the cordinates displayed on the Base Point of the file which is being linked. The elevation value doesn't seem to be transferred at all. The X/Y coordinates are close, but off by several inches - enough to make me a bit concerned about subsequent Navisworks coordination.
Can anyone explain the connection between the Shared Coordinates feature and the values being displayed at the project Base Point? Thanks.
