Does anyone have input on how to update an existing takeoff with new Revit-based DWF data? I have learned that for manual on-screen takeoff data one can copy/paste takeoff items to new DWF sheets BUT for 3D dwfs with model takeoffs it's not so obvious what the workflow would be.

I see that the object handles are the same so it would seem it might be possible to re-map the takeoff items to a new DWF. I have exported the QTO catalog and reimported into a new project with the updated 3D DWFs but I could not get the new takeoff objects to map to the previous takeoff items as I'd hope I'd be able to do. Perhaps I'm missing some important step?

To re-state, for those using Revit-based data what ability would you have to update your QTO project as the Revit data progresses? Is this practical right now in QTO? Any input is appreciated.

From what I have heard the following:
1. Save catalog from previous QTO file (using previous saved dwf.
2. Create new Revit DWF - based on new information.
3. Start new QTO file and import new DWF and import saved catalogs.

If you want all the information from a Revit file on top of the 2D sheets. Create a wireframe 3D view in Revit and place the view on a sheet. This will include all information and will connect into the dwf.
