Hello!
I am sure there is a simple answer to this....but I havent been able to figure it out.
In my building, the roof has a 2' overhang.I need to show the roof line in the plan below(in dotted) How can it be done?
(I tried to move the cut plane up to include the roof but then I ended up losing the plan below)
Thanks,
Sumedha.

Oh!figured it out!
Thanks:)
Glad to read this, but I 'd like to suggest that even if we find the answer ourselves, it would be nice to write it because the question remains for some others so instead of a new topic they would find yours through a search... and you can help them...

I always turn on an underlay of the level above with the roof, then use the linework tool to convert the roof edges to the Overhead line type. Then I turn off the underlay, and the linework remains. It even updates if the roof is updated, which is the best part about this solution. :)

Hi...sorry, guess I should have posted my solution.....
I did exactly what Patricks says....got my roof plan as an underlay, and then used the linework tool...I used "overhead" lines....
Thanks,
S
