Layers/lines missing from exported model with linked files

We have a project that combines a couple of different linked models to comprise a main building model, and when we export the entire model with the linked files in it, the exported CAD file is missing lines. It looks like the lines that are missing are from the links, and the links are copied in the main building model

Has anyone had this experience before? I am just trying to figure out the reason for it so we know how to evolve our setup and avoid this in the future...

Are you using 2010 with the latest update1? I seem to recall some people having some export issues with the original release of 2010, prior to the update.
