I need a good pdf maker that will save sizes like ArchD and ArchE etc.

I am over the "improvements" to acrobat professional.

Thanks,

ejc

Two here for CutePDF.
Also Bluebeam is a pretty decent competitor to Acrobat Pro.

Bluebeam all the way for me. Tried the rest but found blubeam to be preferable to my ways.

Link to trial below http://www.bluebeam.com/web07/us/downloads/cad/

PDFCreator is the best I've found: http://pdfforge.org

10 Good Reasons:
1. GPL license (same as Linux) so completely free and source code is available
2. Supports security and passwords on documents, including printing and copying restrictions
3. Embeds fonts correctly
4. Downsamples cleanly
5. Can output to multiple image formats as well as PDF (jpg, png, bmp, tif etc)
6. Handles combining of multiple input streams before creating the PDF (ie send info from Revit, Word, Photoshop etc, and them combine all into 1 PDF)
7. Supports the Revit combine pages method
8. Quite fast
9. Quite small generated filesizes, even in heavy graphics documents
10. Super easy to install and configure

Did I mention it's the best? :)

We use PDF Creator (http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator). Haven't had any problems. The price is right, and it allows for Multi-page PDFs so we can put entire sets in one PDF file.

bluebeam is an awesome tool. It does much more than create PDF's. I honestly don't know how I used to do markups in adobe acrobat... I will never go back.

Bluebeam has had its issues with Revit (in particular with fill patterns / poched walls) but that seems to be a thing of the past. BB7 has cleared that problem up. Oh, and its worth noting that BB's customer service is fantastic. They answer the phones, listen to your problem, and typically find a solution right away. Whenever I had an issue that they needed time to solve, they would actually return my call and follow-up. AND when BB7 was released, they actually called me and told me that the new version cleared up the fill pattern problem (and gave me a few extra seats to upgrade my firm at no extra cost)
