Duplicate detail numbers in Subtitle possible?

I have a sheet with door types and frame details, and would like to be able to have a detail number one for frame type one and then another detail number one for door type one and so on.

Is this possible? It of course gives me the error message:

"Detail Number is already in use. Enter a unique number."

Must be unique...what about "1a" and "1b"?

But the my boss will once again say "whats wrong, can't the all mighty Revit do such a simple thing"?

I thought there might be a workaround?

How do I do it (and it is the Australian Standard compliant - don't know about other countries) I name my details something like: "D1" for a door, "W1" for a window, "F1" for a frame, etc...
