View Full Version : 2010 Clash Results Issue?

When reviewing clashes if you change back to batch (to see the model in color) Navis resets back to the first clash when you go back to the results tab every time.

This didn't happen in 2009, and now that I notice it I like it better before, having to find the clash that I was reviewing every time gets to be a pain in the rear.

Is there a setting that I'm missing that changes this?

2010 is a pile, IMHO.

I've been having good results (with the 2009 loader) but I have no love for the picture icons that have been added in the recent versions toolbars...
A number of things need work like:
My clash results issue.
Having the ability to stretch (my document) selection windows.
I don't care for the multi tiered fly out menus either for override options.

Personally, I like the clash grouping feature.
Now, if only they'd fix Steve's issue. That and, if you approve a clash, keep it approved throughout resulting updates. What a pain to keep re-approving already approved conditions!

And more flexibility in the way clashes are organized/please!

But otherwise, I like 2010 a lot.

You don't need to switch back to the batch tab to see the model in colors, yoon the far right side of the clash detective pullout, there is a section of display variables. You can turn off transparent dimming and dim other.

Okay, so I'm not the only one who has to approve clashes again and again. What in the @#$% causes this!!!! We have a meeting, approve clashes, get updated models, next meeting look at clashes and I swear half of the ones we approved are new again, or even weirder, they are active - as if we never approved them. I always save the nwf and publish to nwd after a meeting so we can look back at the week before, sure enough these clashes were approved. Anyone else? Anyone know what we are doing wrong?

You may not be doing anything wrong - NavisWorks may consider them different objects even if they look the same as a result of the modelling software. The software used to build the model might rebuild objects rather than update, resulting in a new handle or other index that NavisWorks uses to uniquely identify objects for a clash. So simply changing the length of a pipe might result in a new object even though to you its the same pipe only longer. There isn't any easy way to fix that kind of behavior.
