Location Parameter

I would like to create a shared parameter similar to the Column Location Mark parameter used on columns, where it automatically provides the location of the element with respect to grid lines. Does anyone know how to do this?

Being able to add the Column Location Mark parameter to other elements would work also. Where would this parameter file be located?

You can do it with Shared Length Parameters, and some discipline on the project team... But its in no way automatic.

The API may afford you a more elegant solution, of someone you know is capable of writing a utility to do it. I cant write code for ****, so i do things the hard way. :)

That is a property built into columns and only accessible through the schedule and the tag of the structural column.

You would have to make your objects as structural coumns to have this parameter (which screws up all sorts of other things for you probably.)
