Is it possible without to much effort to copy text from a text file... or Spreadsheet into a Revit schedule... that has been created from the model...
As simple as a two column schedule... but of course if it is easy maybe more..

It's not impossible--but definitely not recommended!!!
The way Revit is designed, Schedules are the RESULT of the model, not the other way
around. ( I know there are various opinions on this ).............
I would be very careful not to try to "force" old-school ways of using spreadsheets
for schedules onto Revit.
That said, It IS possible to export out schedules from Revit to other formats--such as Excel.
There is also a new tool on Autodesk Labs called RDB Link which may be of use to you.

I echo Cliff's comments about info in a regular schedule. That said ...
You can do so easily to a Key Schedule. We use Key Schedules to manage our General or Specific notes, etc. If you search the API forum, using Copy From Excel, there is an excellent little free app that will do this "in an automated way". Only caveat is that you need to create the correct number of lines in the Key schedule before starting the routine.
It may also copy to a comments field in a regular schedule.

Scott you hit the nail on the head... This is what we want this for... I would agree for the most part with Cliff... although I can see some exceptions... but for the most part yes... Revit is suppose to provide the data not you pushing the data into it after the schedule is made... the exception would be... if you had provided an exported document that has been filled out by someone (manager who has gathered the information from manufactures and suppliers)... and now you are importing it back in to fill in the data to complete the information for the model... What an idea....
