We're thinking of implementing something like this. Anyone's company using an Internal blog for sharing info, tips, training, etc.?

I am an avid Wiki enthusiast. At several companies now I've helped to implement a Wiki system to share project information, standards, and guidelines. There are several great free and open source systems available. Also the great part is, Wiki's allow many people to edit them in an easy way, which helps to get people involved in adding content.

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki is my favorite and happens to be the Wiki software that Wikipedia uses.

We have a local intranet system. Basically an internal web paged that sits on our server. All staff have access to this and can have blog type chats. Also has the functionality to add web links, access to all the client contact info and office project general information.
Works really well actually.
