In place modeling

I used to build masses in place with things like Revolve, Extrude, etc. Now in 2010 I don't see the options anymore.

These tools aren't available in the mass tool but are in the other inplace family types. IE walls, generic models, etc. You can still do these shapes with inplace masses however the technique is changed. you basically just draw the profile, then the path and select the two and click the create form button.

And what happened to the eye dropper feature?

Eye dropper is now a little brush!

You should look at the turtorials on massing. They have been completly redone and are dessa flah backwards from any other modeling program on the market.

The short tutorial is:
Draw the linework for the shape. Select linework. Hit create form.
