This could be a ACAD wish list item as well? Depends on If i can find a work around.

The only way that you can use the publish command is to have some kind of drawing open. Is there a way to edit the "File" menu when there is no drawings open to invoke the publish command? The reason I ask is if some one says plot a set of certain job I have to do a file open and then open something and then do a publish and then go to the directory of the job i want to to publish and add all the drawings i want....

Can publish be added to either the standard toolbar at the top that has the QNew, open, save.... buttons or to the File pull down menu?

Hi

Basically no, it's to do with Zero Menu State, please refer to the following threads for additional information on this subject -

Another icon on the toolbar when NO drawings are open (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=6369)

Add Startup Options (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=8387)

Hi "Bbapties"

Looks like someone has beaten me to it again....

Thread has been moved from the ACAD 2005 General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58) Forum to this one.

Please note this Wish List Item is closely related to the following Wish List Items -

Another icon on the toolbar when NO drawings are open (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=6369)

Add Startup Options (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=8387)

Thanks, Mike
