2010 - Pattern Overrides

Does anyone know how to override the lineweights of surface patterns? Basically, in an interior elevation, I had "overridden" the CMU wall pattern to show a different pattern in the Visibility Graphics. The default (CMU) pattern looks composed of thin lines, but once I override the pattern, The pattern lines are significantly bolder. I looked around for a setting for this, but could not find one. Please help!!!!
