Just noticed a bug in Revit 2010 on joined roofs. If you have a roof such as a dormer roof that is out away from the main roof (not touching it), and then you join the roof to a face of the main roof, fascias and gutters placed on the edges of that joined roof do not behave properly. When you click on the edge of the roof to place a fascia or gutter, the length of the sweep is equal to the ORIGINAL length of that roof edge (before joining) instead of sweeping the entire length of the joined roof edge. Then if you try to adjust the gutter/fascia length with the blue grip, it either doesn't move at all, or ends up somewhere else from where you tried to put it.

The only way I could get my gutters to work properly was to edit the joined roof and pull the back edge up to and aligned with the edge of my main roof. It worked okay for me, but I have had other cases where a joined roof will not join if it touches the main roof before you join it.

It is definitely a bug because it works perfectly in 2009.

I will report this to Autodesk of course.

Sorry to report Patrick that this bug has slipped under the radar of our QA in r2010 and it was just recently discovered. We are working on the fix.
