A good friend of mine suggested when using 6.1 that if i wanted an object to appear that was above the cut plane to attach an invisible line to it that went thru the cut plane to get it to appear in the plan or section. is there a way to get objects to appear that are above the cut plane in 7.0???

AFAIK this should still work. THis modification needs to be done in the family itself, in an elevation or section view.

jjfudo,

There are also the other standard methods of course.

1. Underlay on and line work tool, then UL off.

2. Adjust cut plane to show the element, use linework tool , readjust cut plane.

'Plan Regions' are also meant to handle situations like this.

So maybe there should be a wishlist item - some sort of toggle on/off for say "show this element dashed on the level below" ??

This is one that has been on my wishlist for a while, but instead of level below, I would like to choose which levels <- note, more than one level.
