Chain of walls causing visibility problems when using dashed linetype

We are trying to show the walls hidden under our slab in Revit. Revit seems to be drawing two lines, one for the wall, and one for the chain of walls. This is causing the dashed line to appear solid. Is there a way to hide of the lines so that only one line appears? I have attempted to hide one or the other in view, but then both lines disappear, any advice would be appreciated.

Some alternate possible methods:

1. Try using the linework tool to make the walls dashed.
The lines will stay attached to the walls if they are edited.

2. Override the visibility of the walls and turn them to hidden.
