I am curious if any one has some tips or tricks for rendering the underside of a slab. We are trying to show a framing scheme and I am having a hard time getting enough lighting under the slab so that it looks decent. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just place some unhosted studio lights down low out of the camera's view.

I tried that but the problem is the light is so week that I would have to place about 20 lights or more just to get the underside light. Also I get a whole bunch of weird shadows. Is there a way to make the light non realistic and just bump up the intensity of the light, so I will only have to put in a couple. Also is there a way to set a light to not create shadows?

You can bump up the light's output in its properties. You can also adjust the exposure settings of the rendering after it's finished.

Hi there.
You can try to put large white slab under Your structure, out of the camera view. That white slab will bump up some sunlight. Maybe it would be enough for You?

Thanks I will give that a shot. It would be really nice if you could move that sun to a new location, but not have it be obey ground plane, for determining realistic lighting conditions.
