Site Plan Areas

I have set up a site area plan to break the site plan areas down into total site, paved, impervious (landscaping) areas for scheduling. I have set up an area plan and am drawing boundaries, but cannot snap to subregions below. Is there a more efficient method of doing this? Especially with a very large site plan-the method above is very tedious. Is there a way to extract area info from the subregions themselves for scheduling?

There should be a check box on your design bar called "Apply Area Rules" if I remember. Try switching that option. It will allow you to pick the lines for area calculations.

Perfect! Unchecked 'Apply Area Rules' and now have option to pick lines. Still can't pick the subregion lines but I will just copy/paste these lines into the area plan and change these to 'boundary lines', thus segregating out the areas I need. Thanks for the response
