New Workstation

Hi All

I am trying to get a new workstation. Could anyone with a zeon system tell me if they are really good for Revit (ie processing power) than say the latest p4.

I am not so much concerned about duals just say 1 p4 comparison to 1 zeon.

xeon and p4 processors are nearly identical, the xeon just allows for dual instances of the processor. Now of course a xeon with 800mhz bus speed versus a p4 with 533, but for the same bus speed and architecture they are the same.

My nephew just built me AMD64 - 3600+ yesterday and it rocks. Although it got a low score of 135 on the Zoog Revit render bench mark and my old p4- 3.0 got 145

but

during day to day stuff in Revit......it rocks, it kills the p4

every thing is instantaneous

so my conclusion would be p4 for render stuff

AMD 64's for modeling in Revit
