I tried to export one site plan-drawing with attached street elevation to DWG-format. The file was created in Revit 6.1 but the operation took place in 7.0. The Revit file included one two family house linked 3 times on three nearby sites. In dwg-format the links appeared as roof plan-pictures regardless of if they originally where exposed as ground floor-plans or even elevations!
Fortunately I had a copy of the same file remaining in 6.1-format at my laptop so I could perform the same operation using Revit 6.1 . This time the dwg file appeared OK with only some minor adjustments to be done before delivering.
