I am now trying to use ref. lines to create a profile (gable roof cut in section), and to define a path. However, that is creating a self intersecting condition - which is maddening - so I will obviously have to create several forms that I then join together.
My question is this:
Can I draw a closed shape with ref lines on one plane, then cut and paste them into another section view that is not perpendicular to the original work plane?
In other words, I have a ref. plane that is drawn at 90 degrees (up and down on screen/page), then a second ref. plane at is offset 20 feet and rotated 15 degrees from 90, then a third....rotate another 22 degrees from that, etc.
My profile is the same for each section of this roof form, so it would be nice if I could draw it once, and then copy it into each of the section views I created to jockey it into place.
thanks.
