Multi-Story Area Plans-Scheduled

For a 2-story building, how can I create an area plan for the first and second story (each listing gross floor area) and schedule them in the same schedule. For some reason, I cannot figure out how to achieve this because each area plan created (one for main level and one for upper level) pertains to it's own schedule. Do I have to create yet another work-around?

Filter the schedule by Level.

The problem is I have to create separate area plans. One for the Main Level. One for the Upper Level. These are 2 completely different area plans. Then you only have the option to schedule one of the area plans, but not both- leaving the filter option out of the question.

Ok, just solved my own problem. I found I was trying to schedule information from two different area plan Types, which is not possible. So I created an area plan under the same Type and everything works fine.
