I am hoping someone from the factory is lurking around here and hope that they see this
this issue is not big but it helps pushing updates out.
I have the update 1 applied to the computers which is pushed through using the
SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010\ServicePack1
exists or not (thanks for using that ) and other reg keys to determine whether it is installed or not.
The problem with the Revit DB.dll file is that the VERSION number for the FILE released 8/24/09 (thanks for th fix) is 2010.0.0.0
The File version for update 1 RevitDB.dll file is 2010.0.2009.612 which is higher than the new one so you cannot copy the file over using version compare.
Can you please in future keep this in mind when releasing hotfixes to have the correct file version number embeded in the dll's
I have other ways to check but file version is the easiest to check.
Thank you.
