Is there a way to apply multiple hatches to an element? For example, I'd like a wall to be solid gray with a crosshatch in black over that. Does that make sense? I'm using filters which is very handy but it seems like the only way I can add an additional hatch is to actually trace around each element on top of the filter. This seems like a huge PITA. Any suggestions?

It takes a little work in Notepad.
For instance, if you have a *.pat file for a ceiling grid and you hhave another *.pat file for sand, youcan copy the sand patter numbers into the ceiling *.pat and then you'll get two patterns overlaid.
However there is no way to do it in Revit other than with overlaid filled regions.
