View Full Version : Room minimum height?

Hi all,
I am putting a room element into a roof space.
The room doesn't seem to want to fill the space to the walls though... There seems to be some sort of minimum height parameter somewhere which is making the sides of the room offset from the walls beneath the roof.
I've attached an image to explain.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks :)

p.s. - The room will fill the area to the walls until I place the roof... Then it does this clipping thing : |

That's odd... do you have rooms set to compute volume? I had a similar area on a recent job and it worked correctly when I set it to compute volume (by default it does not in our template).

This looks like a room computation height issue. If you are using 2009 or later you can change the room computation height on the level on which the room is placed. The height will need to match the "widest" part of the room for the room to fill the entire space.

What happens if you adjust the constraints so the bottom of the room is bounded by the walls just a little. In this image it looks like the walls are below the room and only the roof is bounding the room. The walls are attached to the roof, yes?

Awesome :)
Solved it! I knew there must be a parameter somewhere - didn't cross my mind it would be hidden in the Level marker!! What's that all about?!
Thanks Jason
Steve - the walls are the boundary (not much but they are!), and yes the walls are attached.
