I have a project for school that requires I create various details for a residential construction project. One of the details I must draw/model is a brick ledge detail. This is fairly simple to do in section as I used the profile slice tool to create the ledge on the foundation wall. However, the section view of the brick wall does not show the detail of the brick being sliced currently Revit it showing the brick walls profile in section only (lines are parralel). How would I begin to create the attched detail in revit. I think I know the answer but I would like someone with experience to give feedback.

If I am understanding you correctly you can unlock the brick layer in the wall properties and after you cut the foundation you can drag the brick down.

I would just use a repeating detail component to create the detail portion. You can hide the outer parralel lines that represent the modeled wall portion.
