good morning,

i'm new to Revit, so please help me if i'm using incorrect terminology.

i would like to know, can a design option be shared between buildings?

example:
- there are 4 condo buildings
- there are 10 unit types
- i want to use the same 10 unit types in all four buildings

is this possible?

thank you,

Groups. Group the objects and save the groups out. These can be placed in other projects much like a family.

are these groups copies of the original objects? in other words, if i make changes to the original group, are the groups saved from the original updated automatically?

if unit plan 3 changes, i don't want to have to go fix every occurrence of unit plan 3.

thank you
Daron

Within a simgle file, yes. All instances will be updated.

Among multiple projects - no. What you can do is re-export/import the groups. The groups exist as separate files just like families after export.
