I was very happy to see the wall embedding option because it can very easily make complex walls. Even easier than stacked walls.
But since nice things don't last, this could not be an exception...

Check the attatched image. I see that this is not a very usefull feature since I can't use openings.
Of course it is possible that I make something wrong so please give me any info you think might help.

dpasa,

It appears that you have two overlapping regular walls. Only curtain walls have automatic embedding parameters.

To embed the brick wall, use "Tools->Cut Geometry" and pick the yellow wall first. If you already have windows placed like in the attached image, some may need to be "regenerated" to realize that its host situation has changed. (Just move them a bit)

I suggest to first embed the wall, than place windows. It should work.

This is exactly what I did. First I made the yellow wall (height=3.00m). Then, inside the yellow wall I made the brick wall having 0.5m bottom elevation and height 2.00m
In 3D View I used cut geometry and I got the final result.
This is where I start placing doors and windows.

I tried that many times. I used join geometry too, to re-make the wall as one. Nothing.

Odd, I just tried the same and worked for me. Please send your model to customer support.

You are using Revit 7.0, right ;-)?
