What is anyone or everyone using/doing to create Hip and Ridge Caps on Roofs. ?Particularly, Metal Roofing.
Thanks,

I've always used the Fascia sweep for ridges and hips.
Duplicate the standard family offered and change the profile to a previously created and loaded Profile family - just a simple outline of the shape required.
Then point and click at hips and ridges to create.
Unfortunately there is a bug in RAC 2010 which will stop this working properly on such as dormer roofs where the dormer roof has been joined to the main roof - the sweep refuses to extend beyond the extent of the dormer roof before it was stretched by the join tool to connect to the main roof.

I wonder...why do they keep breaking this feature, with every new version?
Possibly because it is a slightly unusual use of the sweep fascia tool?
I have not heard back from Revit support (Europe) yet on this, but it's only been a few weeks ;)
Fixed in Update 2 :)

On projects already upgraded to 2010 from 2009 the ridge sweep is still short but you can now stretch it, or delete and create from scratch.
