Masonry windows

I have a condition where I have a stud wall behind a brick veneer. My question is when I insert a window component it is hosted to the exterior resting on the brick rather than the stud wall. How is this remedied? I have tried a number of things, but my experience is limited in Revit in general.

My solution to that problem was to modify a window family, giving it a nailing fin offset as an instance parameter. If you're decent with the family editor, it should go quickly.

Your veneer wall should be defined with the stud being the structural layer and the brick being a finish. Windows will then assocaite with the structural layer.

I find that although the brick is the finish, the window still hosts to the entire width of the wall.
