Compatibility Issues

We're still on ACAD 2005 and having issues with compatibility with vendors (and the rest of the world). We apparently have to be on 2005 for Archibus reasons

If I got a copy of ACAD LT 10, would I be able to open up newer version DWG's then save them down to be compatible w/2005?

Inquiring minds want to know...

well, sorta. AECObjects are apt to create problems in any drawing file created or touched by an Autodesk vertical.

Short term solution would be to dopwnload the free TrueView from the Autodesk site. that has file conversion capabilites built in.
