Does anyone know how to set the mapping for the perimeter property of a floor? If you look at the takeoff object properties dialog it lists it under the general tab but does not allow me map it to the Revit property or anything else. It has a NA under the mapping column even though it shows the perimeter property in the dimensions on the properties tab.

I notice the same issue as shown on the attached. It appears that the QTO Length = Perimeter in the Takeoff Object Properties but the Workbook shows the Perimeter field empty. I have also attached a screen shot of how Innovaya represents qtys.

The Unit Type, as David pointed out, needs to be Linear in order to map the QTO Length field to the Revit field called Perimeter. It would appear the Perimeter field is for use with 2D region takeoffs.

Another mystery is the Thickness field and why it can't be mapped for floors.

David, I think QTO is doing what you're asking it to do - it's putting the value for "Perimeter" from the DWF into the "Length" field, which then leaves the Perimeter field empty since it's now mapped to Length. Does that make sense?

Glynnis, you're correct about thickness. I don't know why it's not available for Floors. Maybe in a future release...

You don't have to use a Linear takeoff object, you can just map it via the takeoff palette; I've made a video here to demonstrate: http://vimeo.com/7600183
