I want to be able to set up the drawings so that someone can edit the finish schedule in the view while someone has the construction plan (construct) with the room tags open.

I created a Finish Schedule view, and inserted the constructs and then re-tagged the spaces in the view. Our firm has standards set up using the wall method to add the appropiate property sets to the room tags. It works when all the drawings are saved locally but does not work when it is saved in project navigator. In project navigator it does not let me add or remove propery sets in the view. Is there any reason for this or any solution?

Working in 2007.

I use the room finish matrix. It is set to create the schedule from the space objects, not the room tags. Maybe that will work? I do it in PN and it works perfectly. I'm not sure about being able to have the construct open while another person edits the finish schedule though.

When working in Project Navigator, ACA understands drawing relationships and puts Property Sets where they belong, at the Construct level. This is done either directly on the object (when the object itself is in the Construct) or as a property data override (when the object is nested inside an Element external reference). In order for property data to be edited in a "downstream" file, the file with the property data source (Construct) can not be locked (open by someone else).

Outside of Project Navigator, ACA puts a property data override in place for object-based Property Sets when tagging through an external reference. You would have to manually indicate where the property source should be.
