I want to create just plain arrows with no Mtext.
I am constantly having to set the Qleader command per each drawing
in order to achieve the arrows I want. What do I need to do in order
to have the Qleader settings load at startup for a leader without text????

You could make this part of your drawing template.

I rarely start a new drawing from scratch......Im adding new
parts within existing files. I have a template set up, but I seldom
use it.

You could use the old leader command, draw your leader line, when it asks for first line of text, hit enter or "O" for options, then hit "N" for none.
You could probably write a lisp file that will set the QLeader settings the way you want them, and then just run that file once for every drawing.
The QLeader settings are drawing specific, so those are probably your only other options if you don't want to/can't use the template drawing.
