Does anyone having sucsessful experience copy elements from a linked model (IFC) with a mulitple selection? I can do it one item at a time but can't seem to get it to work with a multiple (I tried CTRL key but I also have to TAB to sleect and it doesn't let me do that because it switches windows instead).

If you have another work around for my problem I'd love to hear it. Here is what I'm trying to accomplish...
We are working with the acrhitects model which is a linked in IFC model. We are a subcontractor. We would like to use our geometry in place of some of theirs while leaving the rest of their geometry in place...e.g. where CW butts up against precast. I can't turn off just certain items in the linked model because it doesn't recognise cataogories in the linked model that aren't the same exact name as in Revit catagories. I can hide it in current view or turn it to transparent but then I can't select it to unhide it, just undo it.

Gee this is hard to explain but I hope you KNIM. Thanks.

You can multiple Control-select, but you have to let go of Control while you hit tab to get to the object, then AFTER tab you hit control again to click on the object...

FYI there's no issue with copying multiple elements. Like Aaron mentionned you might just have forgot to let go of a key ;-)
