XREF command

I have a problem with the XREF command, when i write down XREF at the command line instead of poping up the external references manager as usual it apears the text: "Enter block name or [?]:" and I don´t know how to fix this, does any one knows how to fix this?

Have you checked to ensure that the "filedia" variable is set to 1?

yes, filedia is set to 1 and still having the problem, any other sugestions? thanks

In that case you have me stumped I will keep looking around to see what I can find.
I am assuming that all your other dialog boxes show up (ex: block insertion, open etc.)

yes I only have that problem with xref dialog box, all other dialog boxes show up

I found the ansewer if its useful for someone. It seems that the command XREF has been undefined some how, so I used the command REDEFINE and it worked. I haven´t closed the program so I'm not sure if I'm going to have to repeat this step every time I open the program.
