well, We have been requesting for ages a brick coursing tool that supposdely they have been working on for us... however, we were told it may make it out as a general release for all to use... so maybe??

Until we hear some official noise from Autodesk, I'm not saying anything except that some significant wish items are getting attention in this SP if you're on Subscription. I have no idea precisely when they will be released; generally it's the background legal work that holds this stuff up, so we all just have to sit tight and let the suits do their thing.

I heard there is going to a button for coffee and biscuits (cookies) in this release, and an autofill for details where is finishes them for you..

Wes... Fess up. They put Dim-uzi and the PM Button (Shuts down Revit) in this SP, didnt they? I mean, i know you CANT say anything.... But you could say if hypothetically they were good working tools.... :)

I hope they don't base it on the bad math used in both Revit and ADT of 2.666" per brick....
That really adds up over several stories and affects both the OTB hatches and the repeating details. If so - it will be useless.

As always, the positive thinking here astounds me!
How about let's wait and see, and use anything GOOD that comes with the SP.
cheers.....

They haven't been released. I haven't seen them -- all I know is some of what's coming. We're all waiting here, folks :) But once we see the web update on Autodesk's web site, we should be able to log in to Subscription and download the real goods.

I meant the hypothetical PM tool.... Hahahahahaha
Aaron, i just ran in to that yesterday. Its unreal. Im going to have to make a hatch that holds the 8 inch dimension constant every third line, with the intermediate two as close to equally spaced as i can manage, for a row of soldiers. I have them running down a 200 foot long building, and theyre off by a full half brick in places. *sigh*

I've heard about some of the features as well. I was hoping I could say something to the last meeting of MNRUG, so I asked someone at the factory.
Here's what he told me I could say:
“Some features that were only available in one product, have been made available in all products………when it makes sense.”
Hopefully, I'll be able to say more at our next meeting.

Well I know we've talked about structural tools being exposed in RAC -- but doesn't it also make sense to have MEP tools in RAC? Exposed ducts are an architectural feature, after all...

I'm really anxious for the release, or I have to come up with another subject for our next meeting!

Did your source give any indication as to when we'll be seeing this release?

I wish we could have a hypothetical date. i want to push out the ACAD2010 Update and the RAC/RST update at the same time, LOL...

No specific date, but our next MNRUG meeting happens to be on my birthday. Now you'll have to be clever to figure out when that is.

3rd wednesday in October then!!

Should be very interesting to see what Autodesk thinks is usefull to include from Structural and MEP in RAC. IMHO everything other than analytic tools - doubt if that will be the case.
