cut and paste walls with sweeps and reveals

I'm trying to cut and paste walls from one project to another project. When I try to pate in the new project Revit gives me a number of error messages and removes windows, sweeps and reveals. Why does it do that? What can I do to allow me to cut and paste walls from one project to another without having to re insert all of my windows and expansion joints which are now correctly set to brick dim on my other project?
