In experimenting with massing, I noticed that the "Wall by face" tool, when selected, allows one to specify start level and height on the options bar.
However, if I chose (for example) Level 4 to Level 8, the resulting wall would still start at Level 1. In the properties of the resulting wall, Revit had listed the right level as the Base Constraint, but had added a negative Base Offset.
As well, there was sometimes inconsistency between the height chosen and the resulting height... in these cases, it seems that Revit had added a sketch to the wall to make it higher than the specified Top Constraint.
Has anyone encountered similar problems and -- ideally -- solutions?
