We have a sloped exterior wall and need to calculate the volume of the room. By default the room calculates a box volume. In section can the room volume be set to follow the sloping profile of the exterior wall to accurately calculate the room volume?

if the roof is room bounding the voulme should be calculated correctly. It may not display correctly but the calcs should be good.

Hmmm, the volume is not accurate. To test it I rotate the sloping curtain wall out about the base of the wall. This should add move volume to the roof, howver when looking at the properties of the room...the cubic volume decreases. Conversely, if I rotate this exterior curtain wall inward about its base, the cubic volume value of the room increases.

Perhaps it can properly calculate a curtain wall. Has anyone else noticed this type of problem with room volume and sloping walls?

Thanks.

Is the wall sloping "away" that is the room is larger in terms of floor plate size at the top, versus the bottom? If so, you need to adjust height of the room calculation. In Revit 2009/10 levels can be used to override the default calculation height. Can you post some screen pics? Section with room visible?
